The Natural Smoke and Heat Ventilation System (NODT) for light domes is an important element in building engineering systems, enabling natural removal of smoke, hot air, or gases from buildings in case of fire or excessive heating of spaces.
Natural smoke and heat ventilation systems open in two ways: pneumatic or electric motor drive.

SUBD pneumatic cylinder for daily ventilation. Stroke 300 mm.
Various actuator valve designs. The advantage of the pneumatic NODT system is its independence from any electrical power supply. The system also operates during a total power outage, as the driving gas (CO2) is stored in gas cylinders under pressure. For this reason, pneumatic ODVs exist on stairwells as well. Since power outages can also affect smoke detection systems, pneumatic ODTs are triggered by thermal fuses with different activation temperatures. The pneumatic NODT can be equipped with a separate 230-volt motor for ventilation and thus creating a comfortable room climate.

The 24 V NODT system is an ideal solution for applications where an electrical device for smoke and heat removal is required in accordance with EN 12101-2. It can also be used for daily ventilation. In case of accidental triggering due to false alarms or vandalism, the light domes can be conveniently closed by pressing a button from the control point. Therefore, this device is ideal for use in schools, sports halls, and theatres.

Light domes are indispensable as part of an active fire protection system. Both systems open in less than 60 seconds in the event of a fire.
POSplastic domes are certified in accordance with European standard EN 12101-2:2003.
